MSI router connection problems

Help! Got a MSI RG60G router and been working fine for years. Mate messed about with settings and stopped working. Have reset to factory defaults. My laptop can pick it up the router no problem and has great signal. I can do wired connection into the router and works fine.
Have tried the setup wizard on router config page but still no connection.
Where am I going wrong? Any help is appreciated :)

Re: MSI router connection problems

Before you try anything else, I would turn off your cable modem and router, leave them of for say 30 seconds, turn your cable modem on and wait for the lights to stabilise into their normal pattern, and then turn on your router. Your doing this as it's possible that the router was originally set up with a "spoofed" mac address, in which case power cycleing your cable modem let's it accept the default/original router mac address.
