Channel Five Regional Adverts
I've noticed recently that the adverts on cable are different to the ones on Freeview. Not sure if this happened after the change to NGTV.
On cable I get adverts about things not available/relevant such as 10p Daily Star offers when it's 20p in the newsagents - apparently it's a regional offer, also offers about trains to Newcastle on the East Coast. According to the Channel Five website there's only 4 advertising regions so they are quite large so there's no real excuse why it is wrong: http://about.five.tv/sales/spot-advertising/macro-map Anyone else noticed this? Cable: Bromsgrove hubsite -> Wolverhampton regional head end Freeview: Sutton Coldfield ---------- Post added at 22:39 ---------- Previous post was at 22:37 ---------- Apologies, this ought to be in the Virgin Media TV Service forum. Could someone move it? |

carbon60: Can you tell which region you are getting? Do you get the same adverts on channels 150 and 855? And lastly, what Network ID is set on your box? (You can find it from Home->Settings->Technical Stuff) |
Re: Channel Five Regional Adverts
I'm talking about Five on 105.
I'm not sure what region I'm on, from the adverts it suggests either the London region or the North region since the East Coast advert London to Newcastle suggests either. Network ID: 40974 I've just checked and 105 and 855 have had the same 4 adverts in a row. Haven't checked 150. |
