Hi, Everyday all afternoon & evening download & ping issues ? I'm on 10mb broadband & getting under 1mb download...
i'm in Edgbaston/Birmingham B16 --- (area 12)

As it is afternoon and evening one could presume it is a utilisation issue.

I live on my own,no one else uses my computer/connection.

Why i'm i on the docsis 1.1,shouldn't i be docsis 2.0 ?

DOCSIS 1.1 is correct ands utilisation isn't just about you but all the other customers on your line.

Your upload could be maxed out when your downloading or you could be capped by going over your limit. Or both

Hi, sorry but no to both ^^, i download very rarely & when i do its after 12 midnight & the download is finished way before 10am,i don't upload anything... the traffic management hours are between 10 am to 9pm.

no, i was downloading 2 games on steam, dirt 2 & aliens vs predator,total 25gb, started at 12 midnight finished way before 10 am coz i got out of bed in the night to switch computer off. my issue has been happening for a couple weeks now...
traffic management is 9pm to 10am,outside thiese hours no restrictions ?

just tested my connection at 3pm its fine upto now...

Could be that everybody is downloading over night.

Cable is a shared resource. It may be that your neighbours, or a few people in the next street (possibly further) make heavy use of their connections.

Could be that the place your getting it from is slow
