Samsung V+ box remote

The engineer has just come out and replaced my faulty SA V+ HD box for a Samsung box.

Looking at a previous post and following the user's link to a You Tube link, he had a slimmer - and apparently better - remote. Shouldn't I have had one too? This current remote is bulky and I would prefer a slimmer one if possible.

Many thanks in advance,

Carrie :)

:welcome:

Unless the remote is faulty they won't replace the remote, and even then you might not get the brand new one as I didn't when I got my faulty one replaced I got a different remote completely. Though if you really want one you can buy them on ebay for around £6 or something

Ben :)

Thankyou for the welcome, although I was here before, forgot my password, and it wouldn't recognise the strings of words I entered when I requested a password reminder, so I had to re-register! :)

Ah I see, ah well, never mind, thankyou for your reply. :)

The remote you have is fine and in my eyes easier to use as I dislike the layout of the new one.

If your remote was faulty you have an equal chance at the moment of receiving the same one that you already have until all stock of that version run out.

But if it is not worn and you want it replaced just because you like the look of the new one it is not going to happen.;)

My mate had the new Sammy V+ a couple of weeks ago on a self install and the new slim remote was right there in the sealed box.

So it seems those getting the old style remotes with an engineer visit might be getting reconditioned units perhaps (or dodgy engineers who are selling the new style remotes on ebay)?

You get the remotes that are in stock and until all the old ones run out you get the first one off the shelf.
