Sky Sports clarification?

I was just wondering after looking at the VM website if you still get SS3 and SS4 free if you take SS1 or SS2.

The pricing on the website suggests that if you take only SS1 or 2 then that's what you get - only that channel. To get SS3 and SS4 you have to take the whole package.

Is this correct or is the website just not clear?

Yes that's right - you only get SS3 and SS4 if you take the Sports Collection.

If you subscribe to SS1 that's all you get

That could be a sore one for SPL fans. Apparently apart from the old firm derbies the SPL games will be on SS4. So to watch them you need the whole SS collection. :(

Unfortunately you've never been able to get SS4 (what was Extra) without getting the whole bundle

I knew that. You used to get 3 free with 1 or 2, the reasoning being when sports clashed you'd still be able to what you particular favourite was. I'd thought that perhaps they'd do a similar thing, e.g. 3 free with 1 and 4 free with 2.

Effectively if you are interested in coverage of a sport that is mainly on SS4 then you have to subscribe to a whole load of stuff you're not interested in.... or not subscribe.:D

It's obviously Sky that calls the shots. I'll have to make do with ESPN's coverage.
