Ok,I am thinking about getting a new tv as we have had our panasonic one for about 8 years.Now with the standard cable box will any lcd flat screen tv work or do i need a certain hertz or anything else i need to know about.Looking at either a sony or lg 42 inch.Cheers.

You can use any tv with a standard box but if you want to use your new tv'sHD capability you would have to upgrade to a HD box.
