Digital Safes... Talk to me!
I have just aquired a safe with a digital unlock pad on the front from a company in the same building as me that went bust.
Paid some money to charity and it is mine :) Does anyone know how to change the code on these things? It is currently set as 0000B which is easy to remember but would like to change it obviously. It says - Phoenix Safe on the Handle and has a red button inside that is marked memory button if that helps. Seems to be powered by 4x AA batteries, not Fort Knox but should be good enough for our Passports etc. Thanks in advance :) |

No problem. I would suggest when mounting it you ensure that any mounting holes that could grant access to that button are blocked off. It's the easiest method of entry on them. Did you get the override key with it as well?

If there is a serial or similar inside the door it would be worth ordering one in case you ever have a problem with the code system.

Our safe has a small button just inside the door at the hinged end. If you press that button (or have to change the batteries) the number is reset and you then have a few seconds to enter the new code - e.g. 1234 followed by pressing the B button. Be careful though because you don't want to lock yourself out... :) HTH |
