Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
My Altec Lansings have given up the ghost after 6 years. It was a 2.1 system and sounded fantastic. Any thoughts on the Logitech or Creative 5.1 setups for about £60 or so pounds? Thanks.:)

Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
I use a Cambridge Soundworks / Creative 2.1 system I bought for a tenner... 2.1, sounds excellent.

Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
If you have a good hifi, hook it up to that. It's quite easy to do.
I spent a lot of time looking for a decent sounding set of PC speakers and currently use a set of AE Aego M. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acoustic-Ene.../dp/B000MN96T6 Slightly more expensive than the price you want to pay but I think you can find them for about £120. They really are excellent speakers. |

Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
I highly recommend these logitech x-530. I have them and they are surprisingly bassy for such a compact sub. I have a few logitech products now and rate the quality very high.

Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
I bought the Logitech X-530 round Christmas time, I'm happy with them for listening to mp3s while on the internet or playing games. Occasionally hear foreign radio though when they're on, but I don't think that's the speakers' fault, as the old ones did that :(

Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
you won't like me saying this bud, but imo get a set of Logitech z-5500 speakers
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Dig.../dp/B0006HBCL8 in my opinion the biggest problem you will have is lifting the sub-woofer - way over your budget, but mine have been worth every penny wow, the 'used' option from my link is excellent value ;) |
Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
The Z-5500s are pretty good, so good infact I use them in my lounge with my V+ and Blu-Ray player hooked up to them!

Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
Had my mind on these http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/logite...77206-pdt.html anyway :)
And just reserved them for pick up tomorrow. Price has gone up a fiver since first looking though.:erm::mad: Anyway getting them tomorrow. The Z-5500 would have been such overkill but i would`ve loved them.:D Thanks all........... I`ll report back.;). |
Re: Best PC Speakers for £60 odd
Well. What can i say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
The neighbours are going to hate me. :D Love these speakers, just started watching Avatar and the sound is amazing.:) These are going through a Creative x-fi Extreme Gamer PCI-e card and i`m chuffed to bits with the sound only on 1/4 volume and the sub turned up 1/2 way! Thanks all.:tu: |
