photos to mobile

I have just bought a virgin mobile phone , Someone has sent me a picture message .
On my old phone it would just come up on the mobile , but it seems with my virgin phone i have to accsess it through the webb site.
When trying to get my photo i get a message saying theres a fault the team are looking into it , so have not been able to get to it.
It also says would you prefere to get your images directly to your mobile , yes i would but it does not go on to tell you how to go about this.
Has anyone got any ideas how you go about getting the picture directly to the mobile rather then it going through the pc. Thanks

Hi,

I know a few people that had this problem when first activating their phone. What you need to do is creat a picture message and send it to yourself.

I know that sounds silly but it should fix your issue.

It tells your provider that you've got an MMS capable phone and they set things up accordingly.

I have a similar problem, so hope you don't mind if I use this thread. I can send a photo from my Virgin phone to my son, but he cannot receive it. He has to go to the Virgin website, and all his efforts point to him having to have a Virgin phone, he is told he needs a picture phone (which he's got). He has to key in his Virgin phone number and the code that came with the picture. No chance of that, as he's emigrated to Finland and is on DNA (or S can't remember now) - any suggestions? I tried giving him the number of my spare sim to use, but that didn't work. Hubby's O2 phone also refers him to a website, but he could access the picture. Surely I'm not restricted to only sending pics to those with a Virgin phone?

If he sends a picture message, that should trigger the provider into sending the appropriate MMS settings to his phone.

Thank you for that, I'll pass that on. I tried the dil as well, but it didn't work with hers either. Mind you, I have no idea if she's ever sent a pic before, but she's had the phone for ages. Thank you again.

Update. Sadly, this hasn't worked. They can receive pictures from everyone but me, I feel quite miffed! They won't be buying Virgin phones, so I suppose I'll have to use up my credit and go back to O2.

It may sound stupid, but it's not impossible for you to be accidentally put on their blocking list (it has happened - been reported on here, IIRC). Might just be worth checking.

Interesting. I'll get them to look into it, though am not sure how! They might, though.
