Rapidshare News
Anyone understand this gobbledigook?
Spoiler:

Re: Rapidshare News
Yes.
You buy a bunch of "points". You then spend said points daily on there tariff. For example, the crap tariff (1Gb Bandwidth/day) is 4 points/day. Basically, they want you to spend more money and use less bandwidth. |
Re: Rapidshare News
I would have rather seen a downloader option only with no storage where you pay per downloadload instead of per day as I hardly use the site lol think ill stay a leeching free user lol

Re: Rapidshare News
bear in mind it affects uploaders too. Watch the migration from RS to HotFile or MegaUpload
|
Re: Rapidshare News
Well, seeing as the download wait clock has now vanished, it seems the only way to download is to pay.
Bye RS!!!!!! |

Re: Rapidshare News
They automatically increase your package size.
I went over the 1gB limit to test, and it put me on the next size up. It did NOT however, automatically downgrade me when it struck 12 CET. |
Re: Rapidshare News
Nope, they dont auto downgrade you, you have to do it manually.
On the plus side, at 4 points a day, the points they have given me will last me almost a year, when I only paid for 3 months. |
Re: Rapidshare News
I'd rather user sendspace than rapidshare
|
Re: Rapidshare News
Since I use it for downloading rather than uploading and storage, I'll just use whatever the majority uses to store the files I want. :erm:
It appears hotfile is gaining in popularity .. |

Unfortunately it would seem the service is slowly slipping, less and less people i know are even willing to download files i'm trying to share with them via it as well (Usually spreadsheets relating to a game i play.. Sounds fun, right? :p:). Ah well, wonder what the next big site will be. |
