Hi friends computer has what looks like the font changed to symbols so you cant read
 

Hi, my friend’s computer got a nasty E-mail. Said it swore and said he had done something to an E-mail account. Anyway its not aimed at him...well don’t think so.

But his entire system is now looking like some alien PC you can’t read anything apart from web pages. All menus etc are symbols

I'm going to try later today to get to the Date and language settings but having to do a visual map to it from my pc..:mad:

any help... everything looks like this.

Oh dear, it's messed up the system font, I'd recommend reformatting/recovering cause you don't know what sort of crap it has put on the computer :(

If he know's his way through the control panel menu's then he might be able to reclaim it and change back the font. Whichever OS he is get someone either next to them on a laptop with the same OS or take the PC to a friends and then go step by step to change the system font (currently probably set to Wingdings or Symbol)
