VPS

Hi,

I have recently purchased a VPS and planned to use it as a seedbox.

However i havent the slightest idea on how to get started.

I am running fedora 12.

Anyone know of a good guide on the internet on how to get started.

Cheers

Re: VPS

By the look of it it's a WHM/Virtuozzo clone... That enable you to control the virtual hardware side of the VPS but not the OS itself..

Do you have a choice on OS for the VPS (a lot of vps servers do give you a choice) if yes then the best "free" control software is Webmin and even better as it controls down to domain/email level is virtualmin and that has an install script for Centos5 and a couple of other OS. I've personally installed it after a recommendation off CF on Centos5 and it works great allowing full control of the domains/webistes and lots of others things like the industry standard of WHM/cPanel. but is free unlike WHM/cPanel.

Re: VPS

All fine and good but unless you are command level coversant it's absolutely useless to you

Question, who is your VPS supplier?? please provide a link to the website and we'll be able to tell which next step you need to follow :)

Re: VPS

I suggest you look at his website as it seems that's what controls your VPS offers (not that they give a lot of instruction)
