packard bell sw51

hi i av a packard bell sw51 that will only run on battery it will not run on power supply can any one help thanks:confused:

What happens if you plug it in to the mains without the battery? Does it boot up at all or just sit there refusing to turn on?

hi and thanks for reply if i take battery it just sits there put it back in and it boots up no probs and will run untill battery is flat i put a new power/ssb board in thinking it was the power jack but still same thanks
