SVGA to S-VHS cable

Can I connect my SVGA out port on my netbook and connect it to the S-VHS input port on my tv?

Also is there anywhere I can get information on what video cable can be used without the need of hardware to convert the video signal?

Wouldn't be possible without some sort of hardware as they are 2 completely different signals

you will need to investigate the graphics chipset. Some will allow it others will not

Unless the VGA port carries an S-video signal a simple cable won't work. A don't think that most laptops do this. You will need a VGA to S-video converter, also remember the maximum resolution for s-video is 640x480 (normal tv signal)

That my luck, I thought It would be simple.

Does anybody know if my chipset (Post #4) will allow just a adapter cable?
