New Google mail (ntlworld)

Hi,

I have been migrated to the new email servers (google i believe). But now when I receive an email it stays in webmail, even though I have received it via Outlook.

I have run the Virginmedia settings update in IE8 but it still doesn't delete the emails.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ok - But I didn't really want to trawl through a massive thread, when I thought I could quickly get the settings....

Log into Virgin Media Webmail at http://mail.ntlworld.com

1. Click on Settings in the top right

2. Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab

3. From the drop down menu choose 'When messages are accessed with POP, delete Virgin Media Mail's Copy'

Image attached for help :)

I'm on blueyonder side of things but settings should be similar.

Go into the settings in webmail and then Forwarding and POP/IMAP and where you see POP Download: on setting number 2 change it to either archive or delete the email When messages are accessed with POP.

You could change it to archive so that if you accidentally delete an email in your outlook you can get it back through the all mail option in webmail.
