AppleCare

I own a MacBook pro which I have had since Sept 09 (God doesnt time fly eh). Anyway although I havent had any issues with it hardware wise I have read on the Apple Support forums and Mac Forums.com that many people have had issues outside the initial 12 month warranty. Now I would like to know the advantages over the initial 12 month warranty, would I could expect to pay for repair wise should something go wrong if I dont take out the extended cover and how much would I be paying for AppleCare

You might get a better response in the macrumors forum.

I was in apple shop once behind someone having a repair and to replace the hard drive cost her over £150.00

I am buying AppleCare for my iPod touch within next month.

My motherboard fried almost a year ago, outside of the warranty. It would have cost several hundred pounds to fix had it not been for Applecare.

I got the warranty for my MacBook Pro (which I also bought last September - and yes, doesn't time fly).
It did cost a lot - about £275 I think. But I think better to be safe............
