Just got one of these. Is there a problem with sending email from an ntlworld address,and also can anyone tell me how I can set up an address book of email contacts. I think I've tried everything but I can't find the settings.

sending is unavilable from a virgin address as
"you need to be logged onto a Virgin media access point"
from CS
however if you sync it with google mail and then send emails via google mail it allows you to send from your ntlworld email addy via the gmail servers (seems to work)
ill post step by step tonight when i get home :)

right this is exactly what i have done and there may be a quicker way.

log into gmail (on your pc and ensure that your ntlworld email address is visable on the chat section if its not i have no idea sorry)

on the phone set it like this:

username: gmail username
password: gmail password
SMTP: smtp.gmail.com
Security Type: SSL
Server Port: 465

this is whats allowing me to send email from my ntlworld email addy on my mobile.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a dummy on mobiles. How do I get into the settings to put these details and do I delete the email settings that I got from Virgin online?

dont delete the incoming settings only the outgoing
