@Ntlworld Email and Blackberry bold9700
 

I use blackberry bold 9700 on T-mobile, and have my @ntlworld email account on it.
Every email sent to my ntlworld account, is delivered to my blackberry 20 to 30 minutes late, I ve spent hours on the phone with virgin BB support but none of them seems to know how to resolve this.
All the staff keep telling me that problem is the blackberry, I have done several email testing by sending emails to my Yahoo, Gmail and Ntlworld email accounts, yahoo and Gmail are always delivered instantly to my blackberry but ntlworld gets delivered after 20 minutes.
Any ideas how to get emails delivered to Blackberry faster???

I have the curve 8520 and I'm using IMAP to receive my email messages and they seem to come through relatively quickly. Though I think you can only use IMAP once your account has been migrated, not sure though. Hope this helps :)

i use IMAP already but i still get my mails late

I am on vodaphone i allso noticed that emails from ntlworld take longer then yahoo or hotmail

Hmmm, maybe your networks are at fault as mine is fine on O2 :D

I use wifi on the phone at home. but i have Blackberry data plan and T-mobile unlimited internet.
Both at home and elsewhere, the mails to my Blackberry is always delivered 30 minutes late.

Hmmm mine do have a delay before they come through but today all of them seem to have come through straight away. I think it depends on how often the BlackBerry checks for new messages, there may be a setting somewhere to change it.
