need jre1.6.0_12-c-l.msi?
Hi All,
I can't update java on one of my machines as it asks for jre1.6.0_12-c-l.msi to remove the old version. It seems the original installation was done by a user who has since been deleted from the system and the installer for Java had placed the MSI in their user directory which has since been deleted (Clever ) Does anyone know where I can get Java 1.6 Update12 from, as I think i'm going to need the setup package from the old version to enable to me to install the latest version  |

Try downloading 1.6 (12) from here http://java.sun.com/products/archive/ and then removing it.. Although a different install package it should be the same release

There are 3rd party utils like
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...s/JavaRa.shtml Which was developed for the exact reason you're having (remember with some OS's you will have to run this tool as an administrator) |

I ended up doing it with Revo uninstaller, Java can be a right pain in the backside at times I had admin rights on the machine so that wasn't a problem ;) Thanks for the help, I'd Rep you but it won't let me as i've not given enough out apparently. |
