New Business starting a website and logo advice

Hi guys we are starting an online business and think we are going to go with moonfruit.com for the website but we are now looking for some free software that will let us design a logo for the company, can anyone recommend such sites?

Thanks
Ryan

Unless you are this company, you may wish to revisit the name.

Moonfruit.com

I think he's saying they will be using moonfruit (.com), the free website builder software to build the website (like 2,689,851 people before him). He now wants advise on free software for logo design.

I could be mistaken, but I would read that the OP is going to be hosting their site on moonfruit.com, not calling their company 'Moonfruit'

As for free programs that would let you design a logo, http://www.gimp.org/

I think Ryan means that this is what he'll use for the website creation ;)

http://www.logoease.com/ - online logo maker, free

The serif software freebies, or small price upgrade versions, drawplus and 3Dplus may be worth a try

Just to recommend Squarespace as a possible platform to look into for your site. I quite like it and it has great management tools. Your site can look quite nice.

I also recommend you get your logo done a bit more professionally, as you won't find software that will create a nice, unique, logo which doesn't come across as tacky and genric.

Here you can get one done, check out the current projects. You would need to spend a couple of hundred but would get a much nicer logo. These ones are $99: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store
