Connecting One Laptop to 3-5 TVs
I manage entertainments in my local pub and I want to connect my laptop to the 2 TVs and one projector that are currently in the pub. My landlord has also suggested purchasing another two TVs, so I want to be able to connect up to these too.
The pub has a separate sound system, so I am not bothered about sound from my laptop playing through the TVs, just the picture. Outputs of my Laptop VGA S-Video HDMI Inputs of the Projector VGA S-Video Scart HDMI RGB Coax Inputs of the LCD TV S-Video Scart RGB (Possibly DVI) Coax Inputs of the CRT TV S-Video Scart RGB Coax Inputs of the 'new' TVs should he purchase them HDMI S-Video Scart RGB Coax (Possibily VGA and DVI though unsure) I need a solution which will connect my laptop through one of its outputs, to one each of the inputs for each TV. Suggestions would be welcome! |
Re: Connecting One Laptop to 3-5 TVs
problem as I see it the lesser devices only support the worst possible connections does the laptop allow cloning of outputs? if it does you could use a HDMI distributer I am guessing you could piggy back 1 in to 2 out which are readily available then svideo to the lesser devices in clone mode.
If it does not offer clone any single solution is only going to offer poor quality to match out with your lesser hardware ---------- Post added at 13:56 ---------- Previous post was at 13:53 ---------- http://www.plasma.com/dvi/av501hdxi.htm there is stuff like this though this is USA but similar should be available here |
Re: Connecting One Laptop to 3-5 TVs
The picture quality does not have to be perfect. As long as large text can be read on the Tv screens, then that would be fine.
In this case, I am really only wanting to use the laptop to display Ads, questions for the weekly pub quiz, and videos for the video quiz round |
Re: Connecting One Laptop to 3-5 TVs
Multi room video sender would do it if quality is not essential, something like this:

Re: Connecting One Laptop to 3-5 TVs
The best input which they all have is S-VGA, I connect my XBox 360 to my TV via S-VGA and it a crisper picture that scart.
