Remote Issues

I have a really annoying issue were by I'm unable to change channels on my V+ box as my Remote light is fully lit for a few minutes or so...I've read about it here and I've proven that if I turn my TV off the Remote light goes out.

I phoned Virgin recently and they refused to do anything other than send out a new remote. I've tried the new remote and it hasn't fixed it.

I phoned back today and they're sending an engineer around tomorrow. I'm really hoping that they fix the issue, also is there much chance of getting a Samsung box? If the price is right I'd probably pay for it as well.

Anyway...

You will just get whatever he has on the van and if your box is faulty the will not be a charge if it is replaced.

Ask the engineer if it is possile on the pre-call so if he has both he will bring you a Samsung. The amount of times folk ask you after you've lugged the SA up 3 flights of stairs, its easier to just lie and say I only have SA on the van.

Still does not mean that you will get a Samsung as he may only have SA's on the van.;)

Well he gave me a Samsung box - what an improvement.

So far I haven't had the issue. We'll see how it goes!
