Thankfully ex-Alaskan governor and super klutz Sarah Pallin is no longer making decisions whether or not to drill in virgin tundra in the Alaskan wilderness, hopefully somebody with half a brain is now taking those decisions.

What for, taking a naked political decision in order to maximise his chances of re-election? If he was that concerned, he should never have agreed to it in the first place. After all, the world's worst offshore oil well disaster was Piper Alpha, over 20 years ago. It made headlines, even in the USA. Surely he must have heard about it?

Schwarzenegger isn't looking for re-election, there's a 2 term limit with each term of office being 4 years and he's in his second term. It expires 3rd January next year.

His environmental record is actually very strong by US and especially GOP standards, he signed into law the first greenhouse gas emission cap in the US and has signed further legislation since.

Not as easy as that, seen California's budget deficit recently? He had decisions to make.

Just said his record was strong by GOP standards, not that he's an environmental God ;)
