Cheap calls to Australia using Virgin Media
 

Last year we were with BT and had a four - digit number through One - Tel. I cannot use this with Virgin Media. Does anyone have an alternative

Don't think this will help as Virgin Media charge for using 0844 numbers.

You can get Talk International for £1.50 a month which brings calls to Australia and other countries down to 3p a minute http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...rnational.html

You could always try this, i use them and its an 0808 access number from virgin

Ask them for a free phonepal that automatically redirects calls to Onetel.... I stopped Onetel though as their prices have shot up... now with http://www.firsttelecom.com/other-products/cable-saver

Skype does also do an international calling package for £7.99 a month which includes 40+ countries.. This will allow you to call any australian landline number for free

Virgin Media can offer Talk Anywhere which works like mobile phone minutes, you get a bundle of either 200,400 or 800 minutes every month and these minutes can be used for calling:

UK landlines
UK Mobiles
0845 numbers
0870 numbers
International landlines
International mobiles

200 minutes per month costs £20 per month and includes telephone line rental.

You could try 18185 which gives Virgin Media customers an 0800 number to access the service.

You could take out Talk international on top of your existing plan for an extra £1.50 and talk for as little as 5p per minute. Direct access from your Virgin Media phone no funny codes and on one bill.

O2: top up £5 and get one number, 'unltd' calls, £10, 3 numbers and £15, 5 numbers.
