this made me chuckle whilst browsing the interfishnetweb. How confident are Toshiba that England won't win? confident enough to give away TVs if they do win it!!! lol.

good marketing ploy I suppose - there's always a core group of (dilusional) supporters who always think that 'this year will be Englands year'!

It's a great marketing ploy, especially seeing as they probably have this offer for numerous countries, so they can't lose. Even if it's purely for England, in the unlikely event that England win, i doubt the payout would harm such a large company in the long term.
