Gmail IMAP problems with Virgin
 

For the last few weeks (nearly a month), I have been unable to access my Gmail using IMAP/SMTP. It worked perfectly, then one day suddenly stopped working with nothing changing on my PC. I'm fairly sure it's not a firewall issue or anything else as other email accounts work fine.

I have tried it from a different ISP and can access it fine with IMAP, as well as on my phone using my mobile provider, but can't for the life of me get it working on my Virgin Media connection.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Nope. I can get to GMail IMAP from VM (Cable) without issue in both Linux and Windoze. I'll confirm it tonight in case something has happened during the day.

I use two GMail IMAP accounts and they both work aok
Slow, but ok.

This can be closed now as I now know what the issue is. (Avira is blocking SSL emails when set to scan them). Thanks anyway.
