YouTube Redesign
Google-owned YouTube on Wednesday rolled out a major redesign aimed at clearing out visual noise and capturing the attention of viewers at the superstar video-sharing website.
"We really felt like we needed to step back and remove the clutter," Google product manager Shiva Rajaraman said as he provided an in-depth look at the revamped YouTube home page to be fully rolled out by late Wednesday. "Changes are based on how people actually use YouTube." http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp...XoUbm8ZlRZZWyw To be honest, i don't really like it. It seems like they are trying to cram stuff into one page such as making the comments so crammed together that it isn't easy anymore to read the comments. Also i dislike the new "like" or "don't like" rating system, they need to bring back the old 1-5 star ratings. |
Re: YouTube Redesign
Im with you i don't like it either, why can't it just be simple.

Re: YouTube Redesign
If they make the comments like they were before, and they were to bring back the 5 star rating system, it wouldn't be so bad, but still i much prefer the old YouTube, bring it back...

Sites that used to look GOOD now look like crap... (People have lost thier sense of "GOOD QUALITY") Quite sad...... |
Re: YouTube Redesign
Their step forwards seems to be 3 back. Streaming has suffered, the design looks retro and it's harder to navigate.
I have yet to find a way to view a playlist without playing it. It's hard to find a youtube channel.... you get the overall picture |
Re: YouTube Redesign
The new design also has a bug with stating times of posts...
For example i was just looking at my account and on there one of my friends made a post at 16:44 yesterday yet it says 16:44 today when its now only 5:08am. |
