Powerline Wireless Network

I have just purchased a Solwise PL-200AV-PEW-N and a Solwise PL-200AV-PUSH to extend the range of my existing wireless network which uses a Linksys WRT54GSV4.

The instructions don't seem to cover this. They only show the setup when the Solwise PL-200AV-PEW-N is the only access point on the network.

When I set up the wireless function on the Solwise PL-200AV-PEW-N should I set the ssid name and channel number to the same as I use on my Linksys router? Are there any other settings that I need to change?

You want a different SSID and channel number to keep them from interfering with each other. Just think of them as two separate networks (which they are).

Thanks for that. I did not know if it could be set up like a "repeater" to boost the existing signal, but if it has to be set up like that then that is what I shall do.

Thanks again.

I don't know about a 'repeater', but I've set up mine (Devolos) as a separate network, and that works fine.
