50Mb network optimisation Windows 7 Vs Windows XP (was GRABIT)

I have 2 machines:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows XP

Both running Grabit
I am Virgin Media's XXL package (50MBPS) and running a Netgear WNR2000 router.

The Windows 7 Machine is using a WN111V2 Wireless N USB Adapter.

The problem I am having is that the Windows XP machine is getting a speed of 1500+ kbps when using Grabit and the Windows 7 ULtimate is lucky if it reaches 700kbps.

I have tried some of the tweaks as mentioned on the website and in general I am obtaining speeds of 20000 kbps (not using grabit) on the Windows 7 Ultimate machine.

I must be missing something in order not to obtain the same download rate or quicker using Grabit.

Answers please :-)

PS. I have updated the latest drivers

Try alt.binz
http://www.altbinz.net/
I find it faster and better in all ways (auto par/rar actually work)

and I always get 2400Kbps

Hi Stevie, opening up many threads on this problem will not cure it any faster, please stick to just one thread. Duplicate threads removed

I will though change the title as it's not just a grabit problem but a network/OS config problem
