New modem

Hi there.

I posted a topic a couple of weeks back regarding my downloads always being corrupted. I did some research online to see if I could find the problem.

I read on one forum that this person had the same problem has me, he tried everything I've tried and he was the same as me, frustrated.

So, he got sent a new modem for VM and that worked for him So my question is, do I have to ring up to get a replacement one? will they send me a new one?

I know he did some ping tests and they found his pings to be all over the place, so if I post mine up can somebody check mine? (if so, how to i do a ping test?)

Thanks for reading.

Re: New modem

Turn your modem off, then phone them up. Say it's broken, no lights come on. They should send a new modem package out for you.

That is not a good move as that could end up being a sticking plaster masking the real issue and no amount of replacement modems can fix such a fault.;)

You are in my opinion best phoning them up so they can do tests on your line.
Then they can see if you need a new modem or not.
