Sky magic eye quality
We have a powered amp in the loft so the freeview picture quality is perfect on all 4 TV's. Sky is also perfect in the lounge. The problem is the poor Sky picture quality in a bedroom, which is connected by a magic eye, to the lounge. The cable must be ok as the freeview is good. If the powered amp is switched off, Sky improves slightly but we loose freeview completely. Any idea's?

Re: Sky magic eye quality
The RF-out on your Sky box could be on a frequency that clashes with something else being fed in from your amp, I suppose. There was a big problem with that on VCRs when Channel 5 launched.
Or it could be a problem with the cabling from the sky box to the amp, seeing as you have eliminated the cable from the amp to the bedroom TV. Have you checked that the cables are all snugly seated, and there is no copper braid hanging out of the cable, possibly shorting on to the copper core? |
Re: Sky magic eye quality
Thanks Chris. It was the RF. Moving it from 38 to 37 did the trick.
