Linksys WRT54GS - trouble connecting to internet

Hi
Hoping for some help here !!

Ive set up my Linksys WRT54GS with no problem... Still getting internet access on that pc.. My problem is I cant connect from another room where I've set up a 2nd PC connected through my LG tv. At a loss with this now as it all used to be set up at my old address but when I moved I expected it to simply "work " again. Any ideas where I am going wrong ? Sorry I'm not too hot on this wireless stuff, finding it all very confusing and could do with an "idiots" guide as I think I may have to start again !!
Many thanks

:welcome:

How far away is this PC in the other room and how many walls are there in between?

Its in the next room separated by a plasterboard wall ..... Sorry Im pretty rubbish at all this stuff but when I look in the bottom corner of the new pc its shows the internet symbol but has a red cross through it... The adaptor appears to be working fine I wonder if its my settings ?
