Moto GP and Foruma 1 on BBC HD / Eurosport HD for 2010 ?
 

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any info as to what is happening this year with both Moto GP and Formula 1 in HD?

I know that last year - atleast on Sky - Eurosport HD broadcast Moto GP upscaled right? As DORNA who broadcast the live feed of motogp have not started doing HD feed yet. There were some rumours stating that they were due to start in 2010. However, I think motogp went over to BBC last year officially for live race times. How is it going to work in 2010 and what about Forumla 1? Surely the BBC have got to show some commitment to utilizing BBC HD channel and the potential spectacle of these sports in HD of which many people are crying out for.

It's down to Bernie if F1 will be in HD.

But that won't happen soon, as he ain't gonna get a back hander from it.

with both of these the BBC just shows the pictures they don't film it at all so they have no control over whether they are filmed in HD or not.

So this is down to DORNA for motogp and ????? for F1?

I think it is still DORNA for Moto GP.

For F1 it is FOM ( Formula One Management) owned by Bernie Ecclestone.

Basically unless someone else pays for it then it won't happen for F1
