Cable Modem Operation Configuration

I remember a while back I asked if my config looked normal, but after recently installing MSN messenger my transfers were very slow for the user at the other end, the transfer of files to me came over as normal, of course possible reason for this is the version of messenger I had to install for my older system.

But I remember folks on here were saying that for the Modem Capability at least one would say disabled, and I was told this was normal, but now I see the following. Modem Capability : Concatenation Enabled, Fragametation Enabled, PHS Enabled.

So all are enabled now, is this normal?

Also why would my Downstream Frequency go from 339000000 Hz to 331000000 Hz

And Downstream Channel Id from 5 to 4

And Cable Modem Upstream Upstream Channel ID from 4 to 1

Upstream Frequency : from 29200000 to 18800000 Hz

Re: Cable Modem Operation Configuration

Stop obsessing over your modem's status pages and you will live a happier and longer life. Your messenger issues related to router / firewall problems and UPNP not your modem or the Virgin network.

There is no bizarre conspiracy within Virgin Media's operations department to personally misconfigure your service, any changes to the configuration are expected operation.

If it's working those numbers and features enabled are appropriate and correct.

PS Welcome to DOCSIS 1.1.

What difference will DOCSIS 1.1 do to my downloads and uploads plus browsing?

I was on DOCSIS 1.0 previously, so why the change?
