Corrupt Downloads
 

Hi,

I have been getting corrupt files for whatever i download. This happens for majority of the files and is annoying because it does download the file but corrupts it by like 1% for example i downloaded a windows update but after an hour of download i ran the update but it shut itself off saying wrong hash code for file, i have checked all my equpment and everything is fine but i have my doubts on the area box because my friend in the next street has the exact same problem.
I ran some hops and i think i found the problem but dont know what to make of it ----

I Get that error every so often in the hops.

For now i can only DL and use Rar or Zip files because winrar has the option to Keep Broken File while extracting so i can extract even though volume is corrupt.

What's your network setup like? Is there a router or wireless access point between your computer and the cable modem?

Also, you might want to check the log on http://192.168.100.1 for anything strange.

Ive got a belkin wireless between my modem, the routers perfect but i just did wat you said and yes there is something strange in the event log --
