Webspace's IP

hi

Ive just bought a domain name from eUKhosting and to forward it to my webspace, i need to give them DNS info so they can set it all up.

Ive done DNS lookups on loads of sites and the IP's they give me are:

194.117.143.87

194.117.143.85

So i type these IP's into IE and it takes me to a Virgin Media 404 Error page. So obviously they are not the IP's for my webspace and was wondering if anyone knew how to get the IP's for my webspace and not the server where all webspaces are stored.

Thank You!
Danny

Re: Webspace's IP

You can't do this in way the that your trying to do it unfortunately. Virgin would have to add you domain name to their nameservers(which they don't do).

Your best bet is to go into the control panel for your domain and see if it lets you configure forwarding to the address webspace with virgin, ie for ex-ntl "homepage.ntlworld.com/username".

Thanks Jon T

Ive had a look for this option all over the control panel but eUKhosting dont offer this service, but you would assume they would which is why I went with them.

I might email them again and see what they say.

Thanks again!
Danny

Wouldn't work due to the lack of the feature that i've bolded.

Most domain name registers allow you to at very least redirect as long as you use thier own name servers..
