Net via WiFi on Samsung GT-S5560
I have recently purchased a Samsung GT-S5560 PAYG on the Virgin network and am trying to access the Internet via my home wireless router.
I have a laptop which connects wirelessly to my router and it can access the web. I have used the same gateway and DNS server IP addresses on the S5560 as are on the laptop. I can connect to the router via WiFi but I cannot access anything on the web, can anyone offer helpful suggestions? I have searched the web and drawn a blank and there is nothing on the Samsung web site that I can see. TIA |

The router is not connected directly to the Internet it is connected to the Virgin cable modem if that makes a difference. Tried with those settings not set and still no web access  |
Re: Net via WiFi on Samsung GT-S5560
The router should give out these details automatically, if you set the IP address manually it of course has to be different from any other computers/devices on the network

Laptop and mbl do have static IP addresses and the mbl is different to the laptop IP.

Problem solved Graham.
I had the protocol set to WAP, change to HTTP and bingo, web access. Thanks for your efforts anyway. |
WIFI DOES WORK......this is what you have to do
go to 'Settings'
choose 'Reset Settings' Tick the 'Phone Settings' option the phone will tell you its going to reboot. After reboot........turn your WIFI on and put in your WEP password!! JOB DONE....... Regards to all |
