50 Meg Broadband Not Working !

I switched off the modem tonight and when it came back on the tick just flashes. I haven't unplugged anything so I contacted VM who need to send an engineer out.

When I log in to the modem (192.168.100.1) on the information page at the bottom it says CA key is uninstalled when I think it should be installed.

Could this be the problem. Is it worth ringing up VM to tell them this ?

Thanks

Why not post your modem stats and event log (removing the CM MAC address?

Re: 50 Meg Broadband Not Working !

The modem is hosed and is offline. Don't bother with the modem stats, engineer will change the modem and all should be fine.

You are correct with CA key, this is needed in order for the modem to come online and without it your modem cannot authenticate itself with the VM network.

Just posted my stats and read this, thanks anyway. Hopefully a new modem will fix it cause I have checked all the connections over and over and found nothing wrong.

It will.

You were spot on with your original thought.

Provisioning State In Progress BPI Initialization
BPI - Baseline Privacy Interface, this is how your modem authenticates with the VM key and needs the CA key installed in order to work.
