Email issues with Outlook 2007
Hi All - It's possible/probable that this may have already been covered but following pointless and unhelpful calls to 151 and spending hours/days trawling the web for an answer I am borderline suicidal.
I use Outlok 2007 for all of my emails with XP OS. I have no interest in any other email option and, until the past week, this has not been a problem other than the occasional downtime. The problem started with a whole bunch of ancient and deleted emails dropping in my Outlook Inbox. This was rapidly followed by the 'Login Screen' Nightmare that persists everytime I try to access my Outlook Mail or Send any new messages. It fails 99% of the time to recognise my username and/or password and checking the Remember Password box makes no difference. Changing the Password makes no difference either. This same login screen can pop up totally at random and so the fiasco begins all over again. My partners PC, running Vista and also Outlook 2007 has had no. problems. If anyone can offer a satisfactory fix for this, that really works, it would be appreciated. Regards. |

Re: Email issues with Outlook 2007
Have you tried deleting the account in outlook and setting it up again. Also are you @ntlworld.com, @ virginmedia.com, @blueyonder.co.uk or @virgin.net?

Re: Email issues with Outlook 2007
I have the same problem in Outlook 2007. One original blueyonder account.
About 100 emails dropped last Monday, 18th January. Since then, nothing. I have to log on direct to get my mail. Damned annoying. |
Re: Email issues with Outlook 2007
Thanks for various contributions. Unfortunately, none seemed to have worked. However, our area had a very lengthy cable downtime and when it came back on everything seems to now be ok:confused:
Many thanks again. |
Re: Email issues with Outlook 2007
Oddities in Outlook can sometimes be cured by deleting the profile and creating it again. In my case, Outlook 2007 would "hang" for ages, showing as Not Responding and with a milky screen (Vista). Deleting and re-creating profile fixed it.
