Blackberry Curve 8520 Teathered Modem Settings
 

Hi Guys

I have been trying to find the settings to use my BB as a modem when I am out and about with my Laptop (XP Pro).

I have just spoke to tech support and they say the systems are down and they cannot help.

When I connect to my lappy via the desktop manager and I try to configure the settings for IP Modem Virgin is not listed.

Anyone have any idea what the VM settings are?

Hi the best site that i have found for all blackberry queries is crackberry.com as they are affiliated with blackberry ( as they produce some of the apps for them.

MODS please remove this if i have posted a link to a website that i is not meant to be used here ?

But hard to get to work...tried this 9 months ago and it did not work.

Even has VM stumped so it is a bit trickier than you think my dear poster...

Not for me, I have a 9700 bold and a Curve 3g both tethered using that setting, both work with no problems at all!!!

are you sure you have put the goto.virginmobile.uk bit in correctly, if you put .co.uk at the end instead of .uk it does not work!! and it is easy to do!!

No go again

ERROR SAVING CONFIGURATION PLEASE RE-CONFIGURE

I am using the custom field as there is no virgin network in there...is that correct?

yep, had to set up custom field as well.

see attachment for my set up!

I know this is on Windows7 but I have it set the same on an XP laptop.

Alas no use either

XPP is my OS and attached is a screenshot

I have tried guest, user, blank etc but no joy

Pain in the arris :dozey:
