wow good footage to watch ,am i right in thinking that the fire was comming from behind them in the old buildings ? cos if it was they were all exposed and could have easily resulted in more deaths ..if the shooter was a better shot

Just been on our local news, it was a regiment from Yorkshire I think. They were well under fire and if the sniper was a better shot he would have taken more casualties.

takes someone special to stay as calm as they did in those conditions even though i was in the army i didn't see active service so i'm not sure how i would react if i had ever been under fire

I did and the bottom puckers i can tell you. However what i did pales in comparison with what my lad has done on his last 2 tours of afghanistan.

I hope that anyone who thought a certain march should have been allowed, actually takes the time to watch this video as it may give then an insight as to how offensive that march would have been to these men.

i wonder how many senior politicians or civil servants that advise the politicians, have done anything apart from be a politician or civil servant, are in the gov today? i ask because it seems to me that they make decisions like sending troops here there and every where at a whim, it doesn't seem to have an impact on them any more ,almost as if they are playing some sort of video game from no10 and peoples lives aren't real and all they have to do is press reset to make everything right again

One aimed shot passing close by does not automatically mean a sniper. :rolleyes:

Though I must admit, that first round going by made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Then again, it did the same during the Beach scenes of Saving Private Ryan....
