Wireless problems -losing connection .Is it due to the Wii
 

Hi

Have a lap top and desk top with broadband in WA16.Never had a problem until kids Wii,which Santa brough them was set up for internet useage.Don't know if this is a coincidence

Problem is that we keep losing connection.Not a problem with signal coming into house as either computer wired direct to broadband ethernet cable works.

After several hours on helpline we have got a replacement router Netgear (Product Code) WGR614.This doesnt work either.

When going online if we get access to the net,this is lost quite quickly or we cant access at all

It tells us we are connected on our computers and signal strength is excellent

Speed averages 8.5

When we set up the Wii,we just went through their set up process which was straightforward

Help would be appreciated as the little hair I have got is disappearing

As you've said your internet connection works fine wired directly to the modem it's not a VM BB problem, hence the post is moved to networking.
