too good to be true?

Hello everybody , just had a phone call from virgin. I have been offered 10mb b/band 64 channels of t.v and a phone line with 6 months u.k unlimited calls and free installation all for £25.00 a month! They will even pipe the t.v into the bedroom at no extra cost. Mmm , there has to be a catch , surely?

Is this a fantastic deal or am i right to be cautious?

These calls should all begin, by law, with this:

Quote:

Hello Sir/Madam, I am a commission driven sales drone from <Company> of questionable morals. What lies can I tell you to encourage you to sign up and make me some money today?

Ask for this in writing?

Many other bundles are at 2 months free.
Unless there are any other catches, introductory price rising later etc., then I'd say it looks like the basic package of:

Broadband:L, TV:M, Phone:M (that's what you would get for £25)
With an upgrade to TV:M+ thrown in, and 6 months taster of Phone:XL (watch that one, some extra phone features tend to be on free now, pay later unless you choose to cancel the extra at the end of the free period).

As for locations, I think it comes down to "where do you want the TV box, where do you want the modem (within reason)".
