Wireless router to STB connectivity

I am new to the forum and currently trying to set up a wireless router to the STB, could someone give me advice if this is possible? I currently have a linksys wireless router set up, up the stairs on the Cable modem and want to set a virgin netgear down the stairs to ensure good coverage, is this possible?

Re: Wireless router to STB connectivity

No as you can only get broadband through a Stand Alone Cable Modem and not through a STB.

You already have one connection with your existing modem.

Try a N router or or a signal repeater for the router.
