Dirty computers dont necessarily equate to dirty houses.;)
I`ve seen some dirty ole computer innards in some really really clean houses.
In fact, wouldn`t more hoovering possibly cause even more dust for the poor machines fans to be sucking in?
Most people never see the insides of their computers so theres no reason why they`d be cleaned out on the kinda monthly basis that many on here probably adhere to.

My missus is always moaning about the fact that the cover is rarely on the side on my desktop.She reckons it makes the place look untidy:erm:

I saw a bit on a program where they tested office equipment, several keyboards where found to contain trace amounts of fecal matter. :shocked: :eek: :sick:

Some where removed as they where concided harmful to health.

Even the cleanest house dust will find its way in to electrical equipment as it is attracted by static build up.

The real danger is the build up could block vents and cause fans to stop and motors to overheat and potential catch fire to the dust.

That is because some filthy **** that we all work with think that the is no need to wash their hands when they have been for a number 2 and think a paper towel does the trick.

Many do the same when having a wee and then wonder why their crisps taste like salt and vinegar.

Half of those are covered in tar from cigarette smoke, the others with white dust is just plain old human skin and a couple of dead rats of course.

one of the best ones i ever had was a computer brought to me when i had the shop and a woman said that it was her husbands before he passed away and wanted it cleaned before it went to grand son. She also stated that it sounded like there was something loose inside and when i opened it up there was a HUGE! wad of cash all in £20 notes. When she came in to collect it and i handed it to her she couldnt believe it.

I just took this graphics card out of my dad's pc, who was surprised the fan was making a grinding noise :)

The board wasn't much better ;)

Utter filth!!!!! :mad::mad::mad:

;)

Reminds me of the time when my wife's sister called us panicking about the noise the new vacuum cleaner we'd bought her a couple of months earlier was making. Not having had one before (they weren't common in that part of the world then), she didn't realise they have to be emptied and the filters cleaned just every so often.... :D

i cleaned my PC day before yesterday, i was suprised how much dust was in it and it was mainly caused by the dust in the air when they fitted a new kitchen and bathroom for me beginning of January.
