Modem activation on a weekend?

As part of the Sam Knows / Virgin Media Broadband trial we have been sent a new modem, it looks like one of the modems 50mbit customers get.

Just wondering if any of you guys might know the purpose of the new modem? Maybe an upgrade to 50mbit for the duration of the trial? I hear Virgin are testing 5mbit upload in Huddersfield / Coventry at the moment.

At the moment we are 20mbit customers with the blue NTL 250 modem.

The letter that accompanied the modem says to SMS the mac code to Virgin once the modem is connected, just wondering if this can be done on a weekend too as it says 8:30am to 7:00pm Monday - Friday. It would just be easier to do it at the weekend thats all.

If they have given a time slot, I'd suggest they did that for a reason.
