Cable Forum - Very very bad lag

I have had this for a while now, everytime im in ventrilo i have 20 ping but say someone speakers, after a while i hear them, it comes up that they are talking in ventrilo but i don't hear them for a while, its random and sometimes, i had this problem on my old motherboard with gigabit ethernet but i now have a new motherboard same problem, i replaced ethernet cable, same problem and i use the wnr2000 netgear router didn't have this problem before with that router, i havn't upgraded firmware recently which have caused this problem either.

But i get this lag on other ventrilo servers too, also when i say go to play Counter-Strike Source or games which query servers as a list COD4 etc.. it seems to overload and i can't join a game until a while, or if i say exit a game i can't login to Windows Live Messenger it says error connecting to network but current connections stay alive ie already connected to steam / ventrilo and work fine.

Im confused and lost!
Iv'e never experienced anything like this before?
