Gallery searches for stolen brick

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertain...re/8405687.stm

A London gallery is looking for a £3,000 brick by artist Gavin Turk which went missing and was replaced with a worthless equivalent.

Revolting Brick, signed by the artist, was substituted with one from a pile which exhibition-goers were invited to take from after their visit.

Hahahahahahahahahahah

The replacement brick had "thank you, have a nice day, next" boldly printed on it, and was from the pile for visitors to take for free if they wished.
Class lol

Just think, I spend hours creating artwork that sells for a relative pittance when all I need to do is sign a house brick and charge some gullible art institution £3000 for the privilege of displaying it to groups of so called art lovers.

Sign another brick Mr Turk, I guarantee no one would be any the wiser. You have managed to drum up some more interest in your work ... job done.

I was thinking the exact same thing about signing another one Jo! It can't be worth £3k if its just a house brick... I'll nip down to Jewson's in the morning and sign one then get it displayed somewhere for £3k :)
