Teen Guilty Of Burning Girlfriend To Death

Quote:

A teenager who doused his girlfriend in petrol and set fire to her in his bedroom has been found guilty of her "cruel and sadistic" murder.
Quote:

Her last words to her father, he tearfully recalled in court, were: "I don't want to die, Dad - I love you."

I caught this a few hours ago on the news. So tragic.

Yeah right, he'll be out in about 7 years, if that.

I dread to think what I would do to someone who did that to my child, as he will be out within 10 years.:mad::mad:

He'll be well looked after while he's inside, 3 meals a day, washing done, heating for nothing, playstations to play on, a cell on his own with en suite.

He parents have got to go through hell knowing he'll be out in 10 years free to roam the streets again.

People like this **** bag need injecting and left to die.

Sick and disgusting and the fact we all know he will be out sooner rather then later makes it even worse. What exactly has to happen before we wake up in this country see where we are going and finally decide to bin this little experiment that seems to have been going on with criminality for so long and get tough. Screw human rights i am tired of hearing that claptrap used in relation to a constant stream of lowlifes that have no concept of it for anyone but themselves and lets get back to making prison hard time a completely nasty unpleasant place to be sent too and every minute spent there is hard work and complete misery. How many more incidents do we have to see before enough is enough.

I'll run with the above, he'll be out in less than 10 years for one reason or another.

Nah, 18-20 for him before parole, maybe 15 in a closed prison before going to HMP Castle 'Holiday Camp' Huntly.

I also believe he will be out in less then 10 years and the reason is because next year we will have a more sickening example of the depths some people can sink too and this thing won't be the headline. We're on a slippery slope at the minute each and every year we have more and more instances of complete callous brutal behaviour and a CJS that is not adapting or adequately punishing those responsible. Once upon a time the idea of going to prison was not something anyone wanted because of the conditions you knew existed and the social stigma attached to it now though who cares so many people have been in prison that in some places it is almost the norm.

To be a really civilised society it isn't just about being tolerent and kind in dealing with those who go against society it is about safeguarding society as a whole and in the UK we are failing to do that and that's the worst thing here. My views on how prison should be are well known on this forum and i would personally be more then happy to spend the next ten years of my life personally implementing it and if there has to be a rehabilitation phase then it would be an add on sentence to be completed at the end of the main sentence.

We have got to start getting very tough and putting some fear back into people for the consequences of their actions no it isn't civilised to the level some would like but it is what is needed for us all to be safe and to feel safe.

Close. This particularly horrible specimen of humanity gets a miniumum of 21 years inside before he gets considered for release.
