Royal aide absconds from prison

Quote:

Convicted murderer Jane Andrews, the former aide of the Duchess of York, has absconded from prison, the Ministry of Justice has confirmed.
When will they stop letting convicted murderers out!

Ooh the time murderers spent inside gets more and more by the day.

Quote:

Andrews, of Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, was ordered to serve a minimum of 12 years in jail in 2001
So 12 + 2001 makes 2013, not 2009.

They start giving home leave 4 years before the end of the sentence yet still claim the 'minimum' sentence isn't a guarantee they'll get out at the end of that period behind bars.

She's already used some shameless attempts to try and get the sentence cut which were chucked out by the courts. Why bother when if she bides her time she'll be punted out into society anyway.

Complete joke both this incident and our CJS in general and sadly i am not surprised by this at all seems to be par for the course these days i mean we wouldn't want to actually punish someone for their crime would we thats far too barbaric .

Apparently Andrews is 'vunerable' and as such we should care for her 'welfare'.

This is a convicted murderer who beat and stabbed her partner to death, BTW.
